A/CAPA Policy Statements

Last updated: July 8, 2025

Welcome to the A/CAPA Policy Center

At A/CAPA, we are proud to support a vibrant community of educational professionals and institutional partners who are committed to excellence in data use, planning, and student success. As part of our ongoing efforts to serve our members with integrity and transparency, we’ve created this page to house important policy documents related to your use of our services and engagement with our organization.

Here you will find our Privacy PolicyRefund Policy, and Terms of Use—each of which is designed to inform and protect our members, participants, and visitors. These policies explain how we collect, store, and safeguard personal information; how we process refunds in a fair and consistent manner; and what you can expect when using our website or participating in A/CAPA-sponsored events and services.

We take the privacy of your personal data seriously. Whether you’re registering for an event, participating in a survey, or accessing member resources, we are committed to using your information responsibly and in accordance with industry best practices.

Cancellation Policy

Because each A/CAPA event is unique, our cancellation policies—including deadlines, refund amounts, and any applicable fees—may vary. For this reason, we do not have a universal cancellation policy. Instead, the specific cancellation terms for each event will be clearly outlined on that event’s registration page and in related promotional materials.

We encourage all participants to carefully review the event-specific cancellation policy prior to completing their registration.

Please note the following general guidelines:

  • Refunds are available only within the timeframes and conditions listed for each event.

  • All refunds, regardless of timing, will be processed minus a non-refundable administrative fee, reflected as a convenience fee charged to A/CAPA by our credit card processing vendor. This fee is typically 2.99% of the original transaction amount.

  • Some events may include additional non-refundable charges as noted in their registration terms.

  • Cancellations made after the posted deadline—or failure to attend without prior notice—may result in forfeiture of the full registration amount.

If you have questions about cancellation policies for a specific event, or need assistance with modifying your registration, please reach out to us:

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to supporting your continued engagement with A/CAPA.
